Karachi on Sundays and Strikes

At times I wonder what this city would look like without the Minibuses, the big busses, the oil and water tankers and the loads of rickshaws and taxis.

If you throw in a half way decent mass transit program, the city would look the way it looks on Sunday mornings and on days the combined opposition decides that its a good day to stay home and watch cricket.

There has been some talk about a Mass Transit Authority (another Federal agency), and CDGK had an extension for bids in the news paper today for the Karachi Mass Transit program.

On a different note, frequency of load shedding at home and office has reduced and KESC these days is running a new ad campaign on Geo - This loadshedding is brought to you by KESC - I kid you not.
