The monsoon is finally here

12 hours of proper (as in heavy) rainfall beginning 3 pm Sunday afternoon and carrying well into this afternoon (with some breaks).

Electricity situation is mixed. Some locations have no issues, while some have been without power for the past 18 hours. Water situation is better. In the traditional low areas, water is standing, but in the rest of the city the drainage system is getting the work done (in a few hours). Clifton underpass is closed for traffic. Qaidabad onwards was a mess this morning.

It may sound quite depressing but the city is standing, we have 95% attendence at work, there is power in the grid, phone lines (and DSL) are working and this is home (as in your home country). No complaints from this end.

Gotta run since I spy a lynch mob coming after me...
