Day One - Part Two

So how do you move a family of three in two weeks across 13,000 miles. You don't since it takes a lot longer than two week. Fawzia and I decided on 28th November 2002 to head back home after some serious thinking. We thought it would take two weeks but the project managers in us aimed for the 30th of December just in case our moving estimates were just as optimistic as the dev and project deadlines we had committed to in our professional lives.

Pro's for the move
a. Be closer to family.
b. Amin can finally get an opportunity to brush up his urdu.
c. Don't need to look for a job ever again or worry about H1-B processing, deadlines, paperwork or transfers.
d. Move in with mum and dad would save what we were paying for rent.
e. Free day care since two sets of grand parents eagerly awaited the arrival of their first grandson after 4 years away from home.
f. Great iftari's, mitahis, niharis, haleems and masoori biryani available at a request's notice compared to the every odd year trip our parents made to the US of A.
